A little bit about
Ashley Pate Newkirk is the owner and lead planner at Ash Events. Originally from Cheraw, South Carolina, Ashley has called Myrtle Beach home since her high school years. Her journey into wedding planning began unexpectedly in 2015 when she stepped in to save a friend’s wedding after the planner didn’t show. This serendipitous moment ignited her passion for wedding coordination, and she hasn’t looked back since.
Ashley pursued her education at the University of South Carolina, where a short internship led to an offer for her dream job as a wedding planner. Over the years, she has honed her skills across every facet of wedding planning, from coordinating and venue management to floral design, catering and even mixing a cocktail or two . With experience orchestrating hundreds of weddings, from Pawleys Island all the way to Jamaica, Ashley has developed a keen eye for design and meticulous attention to detail.
Now recently married herself, Ashley is a proud mom to eight fur-babies and is an advocate for including your pets in all celebrations. Growing up and working in South Carolina, she has built deep connections with leading event professionals locally and across the country. Ashley’s local expertise and her extensive network make her an invaluable resource for creating memorable events tailored to her clients' unique love stories.
