At Ash Events, we were truly honored to travel to Malibu to help bring Francesca and Jesse’s vision for their baby shower to life. The baby shower’s theme was inspired by the Greek myth of Artemis and Apollo, twin gods representing the sun and moon. Francesca and Jesse chose this theme to symbolize their own soon-to-arrive twins, a son and daughter, in a way that felt meaningful and personal. The theme reflected their style and added a unique touch to the celebration, which also featured a gender reveal, surprising guests with the news during the event.

Villa Francesca, a breathtaking venue perched above the ocean, provided the perfect backdrop for the celebration. Discovered through Peerspace, the villa became the canvas for a transformative event, where modern luxury met the timeless allure of Greek mythology. The expansive grounds featured a sparkling pool, inviting guests to cool off and relax amid the festivities, while the gentle sounds of cascading fountains added to the tranquil, otherworldly ambiance. Every corner of Villa Francesca was meticulously curated to align with the theme, creating a mythical haven that brought the vision of the celebration to life. 

Cuisine and Refreshments

Guests were treated to an exceptional culinary experience with a diverse array of gourmet delights. Crystal Coser, owner of Bites and Bashes, curated a live pasta station that delivered a truly elevated dining experience. Los Angeles Pizzeria Co. served up artisanal pizzas, freshly baked on-site in their brick oven, adding a touch of authentic Italian flair.

Sophisticated Spreads presented a stunning charcuterie grazing table, thoughtfully including a variety of delicious vegan options. The dessert offerings were equally impressive, featuring a show-stopping cake and decadent treats from Crumbles Patisserie, alongside delightful mini pancakes from Batter Bites and an irresistible ice cream cart by Love Swirls, ensuring guests had plenty of sweet indulgences to enjoy. 

For those seeking to indulge further, the bar was expertly managed by Nomad Cocktail Co., where guests were treated to handcrafted cocktails tailored to perfection. Casamigos provided top-shelf tequila, while Lyre’s Spirit Co. delighted with their refreshing non-alcoholic champagne, ensuring everyone could join in the toasts. Coffee enthusiasts were also well taken care of, with RISE Brewing Co. offering a dedicated coffee station that kept the energy flowing throughout the celebration. 

Entertainment

The atmosphere of the celebration was masterfully curated, blending modern and classical elements to create an unforgettable experience. Mckay Johnson, a talented DJ, set the tone with his seamless mix of upbeat and mellow tracks, ensuring that the energy of the event was always just right.

Complementing the contemporary vibes was the ethereal performance by Kenneth Pasewark on the harp. His delicate, melodic tunes added a layer of timeless elegance, evoking the grandeur of ancient Greek myth. Together, their talents created a harmonious blend of music that resonated throughout the event, captivating guests and enhancing the overall ambiance. 

Decor and Rentals

The decor was an absolute visual delight, combining a blend of elegance and creativity that perfectly complemented the theme. Specialty linens from Stradley Davidson set the foundation for a luxurious ambiance, while Almir and Co.’s striking columns and statues added a touch of grandeur, evoking the feel of ancient Greece. Stylish rentals from The Vogue Rentals, including tables, umbrellas, chairs, lounging furniture, and the bar, were carefully selected to enhance the overall aesthetic. A specialty sofa from Oak Tree Event Rentals provided a comfortable yet stylish seating option.

Unique touches were introduced through custom pieces from J and M Creations, such as a captivating balloon wall backdrop and a bookshelf, both of which added an extra layer of charm and creativity. For those enjoying the pool, whimsical swan floaties from Funboy brought a playful element to the festivities. Oh Darling Details crafted the welcome signage and photobooth signs, each thoughtfully designed to perfectly complement the theme centered around the Greek twins, Apollo and Artemis. The attention to detail in the decor ensured that every piece seamlessly integrated with the mythical aesthetic, enhancing the overall atmosphere of the celebration.

Coverage

Capturing the magic of the day was entrusted to the talented Michael Segal for photography and Real Productions Inc. for videography. Their expertise ensured that every moment, from the intimate to the grand, was documented with precision and artistry. They worked seamlessly to preserve the memories of the day, highlighting the beauty of the venue, the joy of the guests, and the intricate details that made the celebration so unique. Their skillful storytelling through images and film will allow Francesca, Jesse, and their loved ones to relive the enchantment of this special occasion for years to come.

Guests had a blast capturing memories in the photo booth provided by La Brea Photobooth Co., generously sponsored by Hair Story Studio. Adding a touch of mystery and enchantment, a Fortune Teller Tent by the talented Sansa Asylum captivated guests with its allure.

In a heartfelt gesture, Francesca and Jesse chose to forgo a traditional gift table. Instead, they invited guests to bring their favorite children’s books, creating a collection for their future twins. They also encouraged guests to contribute to a donation table, offering gifts and essentials for mothers in need, infusing the shower with a spirit of giving and community.
